About this artwork

An interactive sound sculpture using wind chimes of precisely tuned lengths to create evolving musical harmonies. Visitors spin the outer ring to modulate the melody. Each visit is a unique sonic experience.

The Story

Originally created for the Rochester Art Center's 2022 outdoor exhibition series, the piece drew such strong public response that the city purchased it for permanent display after the show closed. Over 12,000 people interacted with it during the three-month exhibition.
